Symptoms: vomiting, losing weight, not eating well 3 weeks prior to death, Completely stopped eating 1.5 week prior to death, nausea, rapidly decreasing fluid intake, melena (dark tarry stools indicating bleeding stomach or duodenum) 1.5 weeks prior to death.

Notes: Silva was initially misdiagnosed as IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) in July 2019. An endoscopy with biopsy was done at the time, and no cancerous cells were found then. She also had elevated liver enzymes and was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis. Given the diagnoses, she was treated first with Cyclosporine for liver Inflammation (her liver enzymes went back to normal, but she continued to vomit frequently) and then with Budesonide 2 mg for her "IBS flare-up" She also received PPS supplement for her liver.
